UPH Shrine is under the supervision of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish, Binan City. It is dedicated to the Founders of the University of Perpetual Help System – Dr. Jose G. Tamayo and Dr. Josefina L. Tamayo.
The Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel caters to the liturgical and para-liturgical needs of the faithful. Outreaches to the family in terms of spiritual and moral guidance is collaborated with the Spirit of Love Covenanted Community.
Other church services that are requested by the faithful and coordinated through Dr. Joselito Angulo for scheduling with the approval of the parish.

WHO ARE WE?
The Chapel of Our Mother of Perpetual Help or The UPHShrine is located inside the the Heaven’s Park compound in the historical City of Binan in the province of Laguna. It is called “University Shrine” due to the reason that the sacred house of worship is established and maintained by the Laperal-Tamayo family- the owners and Board of Directors of the University of Perpetual Help System headed by the Chairman of the Board, CEO and President – Dr.Brig.Gen. Antonio L. Tamayo, AFP FPCHA PhD.
The UPHS Religious Institute established in June 2009 is directed to administer the shrine for public worship and services needed by the faithful. Coordination, collaboration and cooperation with the parish of San Vicente and the university activities are given priorities for full function of the shrine. The needs of the heaven’s park memorial chapels and garden in catering the bereaved families in the liturgical services are given much attention by the coordinator.
WHAT WE DO?
WORSHIP
The foremost function necessary for the shrine is the liturgical services. All faithful in the nearby communities are invited to join the Eucharistic celebration every 6:00 pm during Wednesdays (Our Mother of Perpetual Help Devotion), Thursdays (Devotion to St. John Paul II with healing Mass), first Fridays (Holy Hour and Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus ), Saturdays aticipated Mass and Sundays regular Mass. The Spirit of Love Covenanted Community prayer meeting with the charismatic group of the Diocese of San Pablo is also celebrated every Thursday after the devotion and holy Mass. Confession and blessings is held before and/or after the Mass upon the request of the faithful. Other requests for spiritual gatherings are upon the approval of the parish and the administration of UPHS Religious Institute and Heaven’s Park administrators.
EVANGELIZATION
This function of the servants of the shrine initiates activities like formation of new volunteers and catechetical services in the nearby schools. The administration also organizes annual recollections and retreats both for the Mass attendees and employees of heaven’s park. Life in the Spirit seminar is held as scheduled as well as spiritual conferences, seminars and talks with collaboration to Spirit of Love Covenanted Community and other Catholic communities.
SERVICE
This function provides opportunities to train students and employees to serve during liturgical celebrations (altar servers, lectors/commentators, choir and other ministries). Outreaches like community, jail and hospital visitations are done in collaboration with the different people church goers connected to such. The priests and lay leaders are available for spiritual counselling. If there is a need for disaster relief operations, the shrine administrators give services to the affected families and individuals in collaboration, coordination and cooperation with other helping families and communities.
GENERAL FUNCTION
The UPHShrine supports and nourishes the Spiritual life of the faithful, clients of the heaven’s park and members of the school community by initiating and providing spiritual activities and helping them in their spiritual and liturgical needs. This leads the people into the mysteries of life and provides an ideal community of faith, a safe place to open-up and grow in relationship with God.
